Manuscripts should be organized as follows:

• Title page:List title, authors, and affiliations as first page of manuscript
• Abstract: an abstract should summarize the key points of the manuscript in 150 to 250 words. An abstract is a short summary of a larger work for the purpose of condensing the argument, conclusions, and/or results into a paragraph. After the abstract, please supply up to five keywords or brief phrases.

Manuscript should follow the style detailed in the APA publication manual.

The Revista Brasileira de Segurança Pública is a biannual interdisciplinary publication of the Brazilian Forum of Public Security, published in February/March and August/September of each year. Research submissions must be in the fields of public safety in Latin America, encompasses all discussions related to crime, police forces, criminal justice system and prisons.

• The length of the article should be a minimum of 5,000 words and a maximum of 10,000 words, with spaces, excluding graphs, tables, title, abstract and references. Articles should be submitted in Times New Roman font, size 12, with 1.5 spacing. Articles not complying with the submission guidelines will not be considered; such manuscripts will be rejected immediately by the editors.
• When submitting the text, ALL authors and co-authors must be listed. Inform full name, mini-biography institutional affiliation, their highest education, city and state of residence, ORCID (when entering author/co-author, select the Send e-mail to request ORCID authorization from the contributor box) and contact e-mail – this information is mandatory for publication. If there is funding for the work to be published, the institution must also be indicated.
• The abstract should be up to 1,000 characters with spaces, in the same configuration as the article. The abstract must specify: problem, central argument of the article, substantive contribution to the field of literature in which it falls, empirical materials or instances, and methodological choices.

The Age of Human Rights Journal is a scientific journal of international relevance, published in English, peer-reviewed and open-access, containing papers concerning Human Rights from different approaches. This Journal is edited in the framework of the Research Network “The Age of Rights” (HURI-AGE), composed by about one hundred researchers belonging to some of the most important human rights research groups in Spain. This network aims to analyze integrally the reality of human rights in contemporary societies by identifying the main challenges and problems they face today, or may face in the future, and to propose possible solutions leading to the establishment of an international rule of law. Our aim, in short, is to contribute, through the scientific reflection, to make the 21stcentury, eventually, the age of rights.

To be admitted for consideration, articles must:

1. A) deal with some of these three issues: 1. Studies on current theories of human rights; 2. Studies on legal and jurisprudential developments on human rights; 3. Empirical analysis of the human rights situation
2. B) Having a general, global or international scope of study; articles that address only local issues related to a specific state or community will not be accepted.

• Articles should have between 6,000 and 15,000 words.
• Submissions should include a short abstract (100 words) that summarizes the main arguments and contributions of the article, as well as some key words (5-7)
• The Harvard System of referencing ought to be used
• Authors should include in the manuscript their institution, position and email address, which will be published.
• Authors should never include in the text any references helping to identify the author by the referees.
• During the process of article assessment, authors must communicate all relevant information regarding any external funding of the research that led to the elaboration of the work under consideration, namely: funding agency, call, project reference and (optionally), title. This information must also appear at the beginning of the article.

When an article is signed by more than one author, information must be provided on the criteria chosen for the order of signature as well as on the specific contribution of each of them.

Arctic Review on Law and Politics is a peer-reviewed, Open Access, multidisciplinary journal in the fields of jurisprudence and social sciences. Jurisprudence and social sciences are understood in a wide sense, as encompassing academic disciplines such as economics, sociology, human geography, history, indigenous people’s issues, social anthropology and ethnography. Arctic Review on Law and Politics accepts manuscripts for consideration, provided that they fall within the journal’s publication strategy. Security issues related to the Arctic and the circumpolar North are certainly within that strategy.

Manuscript length and format

Manuscripts for peer review (scholarly articles) should not exceed 60,000 characters (incl. spaces), including footnotes. Exceptions may be granted by the editors in special cases based on a concrete assessement of the manuscript’s quality and academic value.

Other submissions (book reviews, news or debate articles) should not exceed 15,000 characters, including spaces. All submissions must be in Word format.

Title, abstract and keywords

Title: The title should be informative and accurate and at the same time trigger the interest of the reader. A short running head will be derived from the title and appear on each page of the paper.

Abstract: Articles must include an abstract of up to 250 words. The abstract should stand alone, enabling a reader to decide whether or not to proceed to the full text of the article.

Keywords: After the abstract, please provide 5-10 keywords. Avoid using the same words as in the title.

Section headings

Please number section headings. Use a maximum of three heading levels emphasized by orthographic indicators, i.e., capital letters, italics, bold, etc.

Quotations

Please use double quotation marks. Quotations longer than 40 words should set as a separate, indented block paragraph, without quotation marks.

Biographical details

Include full name(s), current professional affiliation(s), and an email address for correspondence. If there is more than one author, please indicate who the corresponding author is.

Reference system: Notes and bibliography

The journal follows the ‘notes and bibliography’ reference system of the Chicago Manual of Style.

• Word Limits: A typical paper for this journal should be no more than 10,000 words, inclusive of Footnotes
• Authors may submit their paper in any scholarly format or layout. Manuscripts may be supplied as single or multiple files. These can be Word, rich text format (rtf), open document format (odt), PDF, or LaTeX files. Figures and tables can be placed within the text or submitted as separate documents. Figures should be of sufficient resolution to enable refereeing.
• There are no strict formatting requirements, but all manuscripts must contain the essential elements needed to evaluate a manuscript: abstract, author affiliation, figures, tables, funder information, and references. Further details may be requested upon acceptance.

References can be in any style or format, so long as a consistent scholarly citation format is applied. For manuscripts submitted in LaTeX format a .bib reference file must be included. Author name(s), journal or book title, article or chapter title, year of publication, volume and issue (where appropriate) and page numbers are essential. All bibliographic entries must contain a corresponding in-text citation. The addition of DOI (Digital Object Identifier) numbers is recommended but not essential.
